Set A Quick Key To Find The Mouse Pointer In XP

Have you ever looked at your screen and wondered where the mouse pointer went? Most people who use a computer have probably experienced this at some point in time. The pointer is usually hidden on the sides of the screen but it takes a few moments to locate it. One option to avoid such situations is to display the mouse pointer trails.

A second option, which I prefer, is to configure a quick key that when pressed, will display an animated circle around the pointer. To configure a quick key to show your lost mouse:

  1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
  2. Double click the Mouse applet.
  3. Select the Pointer Options tab.
  4. Select the Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key option.
  5. Click OK.
