Facebook

Human beings are social creatures by nature, and the Internet has opened up new ways for us to connect with one another. We may have been social before the creation of the Internet, but now we just can’t stop being social. All you have to do is look at the popularity of online social networks in order to see that this is the case. For example, Mark Zuckerberg is worth billions of dollars because he knew how to develop a tool that connected people with one another. This tool is called Facebook. Ever heard of it?

Yeah, I thought so. More and more people are on Facebook each and every day, and it’s almost becoming difficult to find people that don’t have a Facebook profile. The service started out in a simple way, but right now it’s pretty much the biggest sensation on the Web. Not only does Facebook enable you to create your own personal profile and connect and share information with your friends, but you can also use Facebook applications that help you to get even more out of the service. If you haven’t signed up for Facebook yet, then here’s your chance. Let’s work together to make Mark Zuckerberg even richer.

Facebook is definately more about staying in touch with your friends than Myspace is. However, Facebook is slowly starting to turn into Myspace.

I’ll stay with Facebook as long as they do not let you start changing the background to your profile picture.

I totally agree with Justin, I would no longer be a fan if I had to view pictures crawling down the page, I get enough of that with myspace. I enjoy the formality of facebook, it appears to be more engaging and because the interface is different it doesn’t take minutes to load pages because they are packed with movies, videos, advertisements and the whole shebang
