In a previous tip, I showed you how to double underline text in Word 2007. If you are using an earlier version of Word, such as Word 2002, the steps for doing so are slightly different.
If you want to underline text with a double line, you need to use the Font option found on the Format menu. As you will see from the steps below, single and double lines are not the only options for underlining text.
To double underline text in Word 2002:
- Select the text that you want to underline.
- From the Format menu, click Font.
- Under All text, click the drop down arrow beneath Underline style.
- Select the type of line you want to underline text with.
- Click OK.
Word will automatically underline the selected text using the line style you selected.
