Add A Border And A Shadow To A Picture In Word 2002

Word includes many different options that you use to make certain text and pictures stand out from all the rest. Two options you have for bringing more focus to a picture is to place a border around it and add a shadow.

To quickly add a black border to a picture:

  1. Within your document, right click the picture you want to add a border to.
  2. Select the Borders and Shading option.
  3. Verify that the Borders tab is selected.
  4. Under the Setting heading, click the Box option.
  5. Click OK.


To add a shadow to the picture:

  1. Click the Drawing button on the Standard toolbar.
  2. Click the Shadow Style button on the Drawing toolbar.
  3. Select Shadow Settings from the menu that appears.
  4. Click the Shadow On/Off button.
  5. Use the remaining buttons on the toolbar to adjust the shadow.
  6. Click Close.
