Change The Default Page Margins In Word 2007

Page margins are the blank spaces around the edges of a page. The area within the page margins is known as the printable area and this is where text and graphics are positioned.

Word allows you to alter the default page margins. You can accomplish this using the steps below.

  1. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Margins.
  2. Click the margin that you want to use. Alternatively, you can also click Custom Margins and specify the values for each.

Once you set the margins, they are applied to the entire document. You can change the margins for specific text within a document. Select the appropriate text and then repeat the steps described above.
