Each time you compose a new email message in Outlook, it automatically defaults to 10-point Arial font. You can change the default font Outlook uses when you create a new email message.
You can change the default font in Outlook 2003 using the steps listed below:
- Within Outlook, click Options from the Tools menu.
- Select the Mail Format tab.
- Click the Fonts button.
- Click the Choose Fonts button under “When composing a new message.”
- Choose the font settings you want to use.
- Click OK to save your settings.
- Click OK to close each open dialog box.
Outlook will not use the font you specified when creating a new email message.

I want to change the default font in Outlook 2007, the top line in a new message always specifies arial 10, irrespective of what default font I nominate in stationery (I’ve selected ‘always use my font’) I’ll keep looking for the answer.
