Depending on the number of rows and columns, you may have to adjust the size of your table. Once you begin adding text to the table, the table can quickly get quite large. When it comes to resizing a table, Word 2007 includes three autofit options that can automatically resize a table. The three autofit options are described below.
- Fixed Column Width — This option lets you choose a specific width for the columns you create.
- AutoFit To Contents — This option automatically adjusts the width of columns to fit the table data you enter.
- AutoFit to Window — This option resizes the table so that it fits within a Web browser window.
To apply one of the autofit options, right click the table, point to Autofit, and select one of the three options.
