Word lets you create nested tables. In other words, you can create a table within a table. For example, to organize tabular information, you could create a large table with one row and two columns. You can then insert a second table into the first cell and a third table into the second cell. The two tables will appear side by side on the page.
To create a nested table in Word 2007:
- Create the first table.
- Place the cursor in the cell where you want to insert the new table.
- Click Insert, then Table. Alternatively, if you want to copy an existing table into another table cell, click Home, Paste, and then Paste as Nested Table.
