Nested Tables In Word 2007

Word lets you create nested tables. In other words, you can create a table within a table. For example, to organize tabular information, you could create a large table with one row and two columns. You can then insert a second table into the first cell and a third table into the second cell. The two tables will appear side by side on the page.

To create a nested table in Word 2007:

  1. Create the first table.
  2. Place the cursor in the cell where you want to insert the new table.
  3. Click Insert, then Table. Alternatively, if you want to copy an existing table into another table cell, click Home, Paste, and then Paste as Nested Table.
