Create A New Table Style In Word 2007

When you create a new table in Word 2007, there are predefined table styles that you can apply. Alternatively, if none of the predefined styles meets your needs, you can create your own table style using the steps described below.
To create a custom table style in Word 2007:
- On the Design tab, in the Table Styles group, click the More button, and then click New Table Style. The Create New Style From Formatting dialog box appears.
- Type a name for the new style in the Name box.
- Click the Apply formatting to arrow. From the list, select the table element for which you are creating the new style.
- Select the formatting options you want. The Preview area shows you have the table looks with your selected formatting options.
- To make the new table style to be available to tables in other documents based on this template, select that option.
- Click OK.
If you want to apply the custom table style to a table in a different document:
- Open the Word document.
- Select the table to which you want to apply the custom design.
- On the Design tab, in the Table Styles group, click the More button.
- Under Custom, click the thumbnail for your custom table style.
