I enjoy reading blogs and writing blog posts just as much as anyone else, but in all honesty, it can be exhausting. As a blog reader, there’s just so much content out there to follow, and as a blogger, sometimes you just don’t feel like crafting a carefully written and witty post for the world to see. Instead, you’d rather just post random bits of content and not devote a lot of time to getting a certain point across to your readers. You could just do this on your regular blog, but the format isn’t exactly the best for these short bursts of information. If you want a format that makes all of this possible, then check out Tumblr.
Tumblr enables you to build tumblelogs, which are essentially a variation of blogs that you can post content to without needing to provide commentary. You can literally get started in ten seconds, post whatever you want, and customize your tumblelog to fit your personality. The service provides tools that encourage you to post content to your account in a number of ways, and I really like what I’m seeing. I think I may have found the replacement for my current outdated blog.
