Creating a document that is properly formatted is important in terms of presentation and readability. You want the individuals reading your document to focus on the content, not formatting errors

By configuring the Formatting marks, you can have Word display different formatting marks. For example, Word can display small dots for each space between words in a document. With this formatting mark visible, it is easier to ensure consistent spacing throughout your document.

To display formatting marks in Word 2007:

1. Click the Office button.
2. Click Display.
3. Select the formatting marks you want to display.
4. Click OK.
