Change How Internet Explorer 7 Displays Links

Internet Explorer 7, by default, displays all links as underlined links. If the lines bother you, or if you just want to try a different look, you can change the settings so that Internet Explorer only underlines links when you move your mouse pointer over one. Alternatively, you can prevent Internet Explorer from underlining links altogether.

Follow these steps to adjust how your links appear:

  1. Open the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  2. In the Internet Options dialog box, select the Advanced tab, and scroll the list of options for the Underline Links setting.
  3. Select the button next to Hover and Internet Explorer will only underline when a link when you move your mouse over it.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.
