Borders are just another way that you can spice up different elements in your documents such as specific sections, tables and pages. Not only can you add borders of different styles, colors, sizes and art to text, but you can add them to drawing objects as a way of calling attention to them.
To add a border to a drawing object:
- On the Insert tab, in the illustrations group, click Shapes.
- Click New Drawing Canvas.
- Right click the drawing canvas and click the Format Drawing Canvas option.
- From the Colors and Lines tab, under Line, select style options you want to apply to the border.
- Add your drawing object to the drawing canvas.
