Summize

I’m a fan of product reviews, and I’ll read them even if they’re for a product that I’m not interested in. The viewpoints of professional reviewers from high and mighty publications do interest me, but I’m definitely more of a fan of the reviews from bloggers and other normal consumers. For me, the best solution is to mix the different types of reviews together to see what the overall consensus is, and I can then base my initial opinions off of that information. Summize is a search engine that looks for reviews instead of traditional Web pages.

Instead of having to search for reviews on countless Web sites, you can just type the name of the product that you want to find reviews for on Summize and discover many of them in one place. The sentiments that are collected from a variety of sources give you a good idea of what you can expect, and if you look at the ratings snips instead of the stars, you’ll truly see how the reviews are distributed. I also really like the Buzz feature that shows you how much discussion has taken place over a period of time.
