Enable Remote Desktop In Vista

By default, Remote Desktop in Vista is disabled. If you want to allow others users to connect to your computer, you need to turn it back on using the System Properties window.

There are a few methods for opening the System Properties window. You can right click the Computer icon and click Properties or you can type ’system’ into the search field on the Start menu. Once the window is open, click the Remote Settings link on the left hand side. Click one of the following options:

For connection from Windows XP/2000 select Allows connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop.

For connections from Vista select Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (more secure). Next week I’ll begin covering email marketing tips for you!
