Have you ever been called on to give a presentation in front of a group of people before? Depending on how you look at it, giving a presentation can be fun and exciting, or it can be downright terrifying. I’ve had to do it on several occasions, but it doesn’t bother me because I really enjoy the process. Conceptualizing, creating, and delivering - it’s an interesting process that you become better at when you have some experience behind you. Having the right tools to make a good impression is also important. PowerPoint has been worked to death, and people are ready for different types of presentations. Perhaps something a little flashier would do the job? Empressr is an AJAX/Flash-based Web application that allow you to create, share, and store presentations online.

It’s free to use, and you can start creating presentations without needing to sign-up for an account. Of course, if you want to save your work, then you’ll need to become a member. The interface is effective and attractive, and creating/manipulating elements is as easy as can be. Empressr does more than just allow you to use basic text and graphs; you can actually include streaming media and animations if you feel the need to do so. That should help your audience to be revived from their presentation coma. A presentation isn’t any good unless it’s shared with others, so feel free to pass your work around to your contacts. Put away the bullet points - it’s time to make your presentations presentable.
