Display Your Home Directory On The Desktop In Vista

  • No Related Post

A new feature in Vista is the “Home” directory. Each user with an account on the computer will have their own Home directory for storing their folders and files.

As you will notice as you start using Vista - some directories, such as the Downloads directory, are accessible through your Home directory. Knowing this, it makes sense to place an icon for the folder on your desktop.

By default, there is no icon for the Home directory on your desktop but you can easily add one by completing these steps: click the Start button and right click on your User name. Choose the Show on Desktop option and an icon for the Home directory is added to your desktop.
