If you’re a Costco member, or have a friend who is, I just scored a great deal on Sanyo Eneloop hybrids. You get 8 AAs, 4 AAAs, a charger, and 2 ea. C and D adapters to use an AA battery in an appliance requiring the larger sizes, all in a cool little plastic case that could be used for small tools, etc.
Online prices for 4 AAs and a charger run around $25, while a 4-pack of AAs or AAAs alone will run around $12. The adapters are about a buck a piece. Plus shipping. The price in the Costco warehouse? $25.99 for the whole shot. That’s about a 50% discount, and no shipping.
You can read more about different kinds of batteries, including hybrids like Eneloop, here.

Yo. Bill about those eneloop batteries at Costco: These were on-line, right. I was about to buy the Lacrosse bc-900, but I rather have the GE/Sanyo instead.

I got mine at the warehouse. A quick search shows them available through business delivery online, but not as cheap. Plus there’s a $30 delivery charge. With Costco, at the store is always cheaper in my experience.

Sorry, that’s a $20 delivery charge. Still…
