Hey Chris,
I am actually a new fan… I found your site at YouTube. Now for the browser I use I have installed:
- Firefox 2.0.0.7
- Grand Paradiso (Firefox) 3.0a8
- Opera 9.23 Build 8808
- Maxthon 2.0.4.5799
- Internet Explorer 7.0.6000.16512
- Safari
I run all these because I like to try things — the actual use varies.
I cannot use Safari on Vista because it will not start; I was very disappointed when I found that out. I stopped using Firefox recently because it was using 512 MB of memory! That is a huge memory leak of about half my RAM. I heard on your What Browser Do You Use? YouTube video that Grand Paradiso fixed some of those memory leak problems. I just got Grand Paradiso Alpha 8 installed a couple minutes ago and it is currently using 37 MB, which is a huge improvement.
Opera is okay — it is what I switched to after the huge Firefox memory leak; then I started watching your videos and found out about the Maxthon browser. I am greatly impressed by Maxthon. I use IE7 for when I absolutely need IE — I switched to Firefox and never even looked back — and now with Firefox having the IE Tab mod, I may never go back to IE. There have definitely been some improvements, but I have never been impressed by a Microsoft Internet browser. I thank you for taking your time to read my e-mail, and I do agree with you that it depends on the type of person and the experience that that person has with computers. My parents use MSN explorer, which is an IE rip-off with a fancy UI and a couple of built in options such as mail and a download manager, but it removes tabs even when running IE7. My official say on what browser I use is Firefox just because I have had very minimal problems with this browser.

Great answer to the question. I’m on a Mac and though I use Safari out of convenience at times, I am Not a fan.
