The Quick Launch toolbar is just right to the Start menu button. It has shortcuts to common programs such as Internet Explorer. It is also a good place to put shortcuts to some of your own favorite applications. It makes launching programs mush faster since you don’t have to go clicking through the Start Menu.
Vista makes it easier to add shortcuts to the Quick Launch toolbar. In previous versions of Windows, you had to locate the program in Windows Explorer, then drag and drop the application icon onto the Quick Launch toolbar. In Vista, navigate to the application, right click it and select the Add to Quick Launch option.
