Disable The Windows Mail Splash Screen In Vista

For those of you who use Windows Mail, you’ll notice that a splash screen appears on your desktop as the program is opening. Some of you may not mind the waiting for the splash screen to disappear while others may want to disable it. Personally, I don’t see the point in having the splash screen there. Is it to remind me that I just launched the program?
If you want to disable the Windows Mail splash screen, you’ll need to add a new entry to the Windows Registry using the following steps.
- Open the registry.
- Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows Mail.
- Click Edit and click Add Value.
- Add a DWORD value called NoSplash.
- Double click the new DWORD value and change the value to 1. Click OK.
- Close the registry.
