Outlook 2007 Mailbox Cleanup Tool

The Mailbox Cleanup tool shows the size of your folders, archives older items and empties the Deleted Items folder. It doesn’t compact the folder. View Mailbox Cleanup by selecting Mailbox Cleanup from the Tools menu. The tool can do the following:

• Display the size of your mailbox and folders.
• Find items by age or size.
• Run AutoArchive to move old items to the archive file on the computer.
• View the size of and empty the Deleted Items folder.
• Delete alternate versions of items in your mailbox and View Conflicts Size. This only applies when items conflict on an Exchange Server account with synchronization issues. Outlook creates a folder called Conflicts when this occurs.

Occasionally running this tool optimizes Outlook’s performance.
