Line Up Numbered Lists In Word 2007

When you create a numbered list in Word that contains more than nine items, you will notice that the numbers do not line up correctly. You can easily change the alignment of a numbered list within Word using the steps that are described below.
- Select all of the items in the numbered list.
- On the Home tab of the ruler, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Numbering tool within the Paragraph group.
- Click the Define New Number Format option.
- Using the Alignment drop-down list, choose Right.
- Click OK.
