Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor Part II

In part I on this series I listed the requirements that must be met to run the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor. Assuming your computer meets all the requirements, you can proceed to download the tool from the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor Web page. Click the Download button and when prompted, click the Save button. Once the download is complete, click the Run button and proceed with the steps below.

  1. When the Security Warning dialog box appears, click the Run button once again.
  2. Click Next to proceed with the installation.
  3. Accept the license agreement and click Next.
  4. Click Next to accept the default folder location for the installation.
  5. Click Next to confirm the installation.
  6. When the installation completes, click the Close button.

You have now completed the installation of the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor and you can begin scanning your computer to verify that it is Vista ready.
