It feels really good to be recognized for your work, and while you can’t always expect to receive constant praise and recognition for what you do, when you do get it, it’s special. Web designers are especially deserving of our praise. Sometimes we get into the habit of not appreciating some of the great designs that are out there, but just like any other worthwhile creations, a lot of work went into them, and it would be a good idea for us to pat the designers on the back when it’s called for. The Web Award is a site that showcases many Web designs for the community to admire.

Web sites can be submitted by the public, and once they’re listed, you can rate what you see and even post a comment. It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words, and by just examining the screenshot that accompanies each listing, you’ll get an instant feel for what the entire site is like. In turn, Web designers can use this site to get inspiration from other great designers. I say that there needs to be more resources like this on the Internet.
