Prevent A Recipient’s Name From Showing In Outlook 2007

If you want to copy a recipient on a message but do not want their name to appear, you can Blind Carbon Copy (Bcc) them. You may notice when you open a new message that the Bcc field is not available; only the To:, Cc: and Subject fields are visible. If that is the case, you can add it when you create a new message.

To Bcc a recipient on a message:

  1. Open a new message within Outlook.
  2. On the Message Options tab, in the Fields group, click Show Bcc.
  3. In the Bcc field, type in the email address of the recipient you want to blind carbon copy.
  4. Click Send.
