Outlook is a very useful program to use because it can essentially act as your personal assistant. Not only can it store your messages and contacts but it can also store your appointments, notes and tasks. You can even create recurring appointments in Outlook. For example, you can set up an appointment that occurs on the third Monday of every month.
To set up a recurring appointment in Outlook 2007:
- From the File menu, point to New and then click Appointment.
- Type in a description for the appointment in the Subject field.
- Type in the location of the appointment.
- Enter the start and end times.
- Choose any additional options you want.
- On the Appointment tab, in the Options group, click Recurrence.
- Select the frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly) of the appointment and the recurring options
- Click OK.
- On the Appointment tab, in the Actions group, click Save & Close.

Is there a way to make a reoccuring appointment that happens on a specific day of the month, except when that day falls on a weekend and the meeting is pushed to the nearest day?
Say I want a reoccuring appointment to occur on the 10th day of the month, but if the 10th day of the month falls on a Saturday, then the appointment would be listed as Friday, the 9th day of the month and conversely, if the 10th day of the month falls on a Sunday, then the appointment would be moved to Monday, the 11th day of the month?
