Change The Vertical Alignment Of Text In Word 2007

Text in a Word document can be aligned horizontally and vertically. You can align your text horizontally using the buttons on the toolbar. However, when it comes to aligning text vertically, you have to do a little more digging.

Word lets you change the vertical alignment of text from the Page Setup dialog box. You can align text to the bottom of the page or spread it out evenly from top to bottom.

To change the vertical alignment of text:

  1. On the Page Layout tab, click Page Setup.
  2. Click the Layout tab.
  3. In the Vertical alignment box, click the option you want to use.
  4. In the Apply to box, select one of the following options: Whole document, This section or This point forward.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.

is there a way to do this for just within the line? I have small text next to an in-line picture and I want it to be at the top of the picture not the bottom.
