Great Web Wall

When I think of great walls, I think of the one in my office and that other one in China. You may not be able to see my office wall from space, but it’s pretty nifty if I do say so myself. All kidding aside, there are a few walls with some serious history behind them such as the Great Wall of China and the Berlin Wall, but both of those walls exist/existed in real life and not on the Internet. In these modern times, a wall has also been created for the World Wide Web, and its name is the Great Web Wall.

This online wall consists of 1,000,000,000 parts, and the point of the service is that visitors can draw and upload pictures to the sections of the Wall, so in essence, it’s a huge canvas for the community. Members can register their own part of the wall, and when you’re ready to draw, you’ll find a number of drawing tools that also include a text tool. As of right now, the drawings on the Great Web Wall mostly represent poorly done graffiti, but it’s an interesting community project nonetheless.
