As a writer, I frequently need to consult a dictionary in order to figure out how a word is spelled and what its meaning is. Since I work online, I always make use of the dictionary services that exist on the Internet or on my computer, and I’ve become so reliant on them that I don’t even own a physical dictionary. Just like me, you’re going to run across words and other things that you don’t understand, and when that time comes, what will you do? Instead of having to filter through all of the results from a traditional search engine, why not just use MetaGlossary?
Unlike a traditional search engine, MetaGlossary isn’t focused on links, but instead, it’s focused on finding the meaning of your query. I typed in words, acronyms, and even band names, and each time, MetaGlossary gave me a succinct and accurate definition of what I was looking for. The site compiles its data from a number of online sources, so the information is current and categorized by keywords. This ability to see multiple definitions from multiple sources goes a long way in helping you to fully understand something, and you can even vote to say whether or not the definition was helpful.
