Our Easter Egg Hunt - Reviving An Old Tradition

As a kid, what was your Easter morning tradition (if you even had one)? My two younger brothers and I would often spring out of bed two hours before the sun would rise - Easter toys and candy were waiting for us downstairs on the main level of our house. We could count on finding little chocolate footballs (chocolate eggs, really), jelly beans, miniature peanut butter cups, and a few unwrapped presents.
It’s been a few years since I was last on an Easter egg hunt - since I’m no longer a kid, and showing up to a neighborhood Easter egg hunt would be borderline weird (since Ponzi and I don’t have kids of our own). I decided to hit Target the other day, picking up plenty of provisions so that my wife could relive her childhood Easter memories. It’s not quite the same, but at least we both had fun doing it (I think).
So, again - what did you do for Easter (this year, or yesteryear)?

Our Easter morning would greet us with our real (not plastic) straw baskets filled with chocolate bunnies and eggs and some small toys some of which were little metal windup ducks or rabbits riding bicycles. How I wish just one of those toys had survived so I could have it on my antique toy shelf. Then we would search the house for the eggs the Easter Bunny hid for us. After church services we would go to the grandparents house for a big family get together. Good memories.

I LOVED the Easter egg hunt. we got a small tour of your new home. I also loved hearing the little dog toe nails through the entire video too.
Thanks for the great video.

Thanks soooo much!!! That was fun! I was smiling the whole time I was watching. And I agree that the little dogs’ toenails were a very cute addition to the video.
P.S. Next year, don’t forget the basket, dude!!! Having said that…you get MEGA-POINTS for doing such a sweet thing for your sweet thang :-)
