Xentient Thumbnails v1.0.2

One feature that I really like in Windows XP is the ability to preview photos and graphics as thumbnails, though some may say that they are too big and take up too much space. Do you really need that much of a preview to see what the photo is? If you want graphic previews for your icons but don’t want the wasted space, Xentient Thumbnails might just be for you.

Now before I confuse you with any more terms, here is how the developer of the freeware program describes it:

Xentient Thumbnails is a simply and effective utility that replaces your generic image file icons with thumbnails icons of the actual image. After installing the software, your images can be much easier recognized by simply looking at the icon. It works in List and Details view of Windows Explorer, as well as desktop icons.

This program supports all popular image formats you know and love including JPG, JPE, JPEG, JP2, J2K, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIF, TIFF, and others. So do not worry about your favorite image format not getting converted over. Of course the icon previews are a little on the ugly side - but if you dig this program you want it for functionality, not good looks.
