Prevent Recipient’s Name From Showing In Outlook

If you want to copy a recipient on a message but do not want their names to appear, you can Blind Carbon Copy (Bcc) them. You will notice when you open a new message that the Bcc field is not available; only the To: and Cc: fields are visible.

To Bcc a recipient on a message:

  1. Open a new message within Outlook.
  2. Click the To: button.
  3. Click the name of the recipient you want to blind carbon copy.
  4. Click the Bcc button. The recipient’s name is added to the Bcc field.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Send.
