What Should I Say?

  • No Related Post

Certain social situations can make you feel awkward, and you may not always know what to say. If you just open your mouth and let words come out, then you could quickly get yourself into trouble. Footinmouthatitis may be an unrecognized medical diagnosis, but nevertheless, I’m sure that many of us suffer from it on occasion. If you’re like me, then you’ve probably thought about how nice it would be to call a quick timeout, ask a few people what you should say, and then resume a conversation. While it may not help during a conversation, What Should I Say? could be of use to you before you actually begin to speak your mind.

The site feels empty, and there is some bogus content, but I like the idea behind this site, and that’s why I wanted to feature it. The concept of openly asking people on the Internet what to do is nothing new, but What Should I Say? helps to bring a method to the madness. In addition to asking and answering questions, you can also rate each response by clicking either Say It or Shut It. By doing this you can give your support or express your disapproval on the answer.

[...] Once you register, you can either post your own WSIS questions or respond to other people’s questions. What you get in the end is an open social forum, which isn’t really new, but what’s nice about this format is that it funnels the questions in a useful direction (sort of a focused Ask Metafilter). It’s a good bet that some of the content is filler until the community grows, but it does a nice job of demonstrating the direction a good community might take this. — Adam Pash What Should I Say?
