Whenever I wanted to open an attachment in my e-mail, a box would appear containing the following message:
"Internet Explorer Security.
A website wants to open web content using this program on your computer.
This program will open outside of Protected mode
Internet Explorer Protected mode helps protect your computer
Name: winmord.exe
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation
Datails: Mic Office 11/WINWORD.EXE

1) Do not show this message again .....
2) Allow ...
3) Don't allow ..."
Because of the frequency by which the above message appeard, I clicked on "Do not show this message again".
Right from that day, the message does not appear again but at the same time I have not been able to open any attachment again in my e-mail using my laptop, unless I use another computer. Please advise me on what to do so that I can open attachments using my labtop computer.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards.

No matter how I change my security settings I can't get ActiveX controls to work. Even on trusted sites & zones. What is the solution?

How can I set my Internet Security in IE7 from medium-high to medium
and keep it there. Vista won't let me change it. Is there a way to fix this by tweaking it with the Windows registry editor? My ISP told me the reason why I am having problems viewing pages is because of this.
I checked with Microsoft about it and they said you can not lower it
and they don't recommend it. What good is having IE7 if you can't view anything you want. >.

what if IE7 only displays HIGH and won't let you reset it lower? i don't think it's related to group policy. i think the issue is with Windows Server 2003.
