Moving Table Rows Up And Down (Word 2002)

  • No Related Post

Here is a useful tip if you frequently work with tables in Microsoft Word. If you need to move a row in your table up and down, you can try doing a cut and paste or you can retype the information.

A much easier way to reorder rows is to use your keyboard. Click inside the row you want to move. Hold down the ALT + SHIFT keys and use the up and down arrows on the keyboard to move the row to the new location. For example, if you wanted to move the fourth row in a table to the first row, click inside the row, hold down ALT + SHIFT, and press the up arrow three times.

You can also use these keystrokes to reorder paragraphs, bulleted lists and numbered lists.
