FixDat Bluetooth Car Diagnostic Tool

When the check engine light comes on in the car, there’s always that slight panic wondering whether your car is about to bite it while you’re driving. DATZOO offers a solution that might give you some peace of mind while simultaneously allowing you to quickly adjust a bogus problem in your system. Its new FixDat diagnostics tool plugs into the On-Board Diagnostics II port on your car (the same port used for smog checks in places like California and Washington).

If the car generates a check engine event, FixDat reads the code and makes it available to software installed on any Bluetooth connected cell phone or laptop. You can read the code, decide whether it warrants a trip to the mechanic, and opt to reset the check engine light if you prefer to remain oblivious to your problem. In this video, we see a demonstration of FixDat in action, testing the car of Elizabeth Del Sol (who recently appeared in Mexican Werewolf in Texas) for engine problems.
