Networking your computers in your home or business serves its purpose to be productive, and resource sharing is the ultimate goal.
Sharing data files like spreadsheets, reports and documents is a powerful tool to make your home or business users productive and efficient.
Why is that? Because no time is wasted; you don’t go to one computer to another to get reports and files. You don’t have to go to another computer to print spreadsheet reports. It eliminates your time physically accessing different computers, because you don’t have to go anywhere. Access all files right from your cubicle! You can just imagine how “too-much-work” that would be!
Here are some simple steps on how you can make your files shared and available for other users on your network.
- Choose the document or file from your folder (usually from the MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER).
- Point the mouse on that file and click on SHARING AND SECURITY.
- Click on the SHARING tab.
- It tells you that if you want to share it, drag the particular filer or folder to the shared documents folder.
- How do you drag it? Point the mouse on that file or folder, right click and hold the mouse still and drag it down to the Shared Documents folder. Then release the mouse! Open the shared documents and check if your file is there.
