Text in a Word document can be aligned horizontally and vertically. You can align your text horizontally using the buttons on the toolbar. However, when it comes to aligning text vertically, you have to do a little more digging.
Word lets you change the vertical alignment of text from the Page Setup dialog box. You can align text to the bottom of the page or spread it out evenly from top to bottom.
To change the vertical alignment of text:
- From the File menu, click Page Setup.
- Click the Layout tab.
- Use the drop down arrow beside the Vertical alignment box to click option you want.
- Click OK to save your changes.

Dear fellows,
Please imagine, like in this text, I write
a narrow text (half a page of the space
I have available) on a Word file. The
text is narrow, applying the key
“enter”, not because I’ve used chart
resources.
Is there a way to spread the above text using an authomatic resource ?
Please note, I have hundreds of pages where writing is on half pages and now I want to compact the writing taking advantage of the other half not written. Can I do that authomatically ? (All the original pages I am talking about were originally written on Word pages where the typist used the key “enter” by the middle of the pages.
2) Sometimes I copy pages from the web> They are narrow, like columns, and some I cam widen but others no way I can do that. Can you help me ?
Many thanks and best regards,
