Prevent The Welcome Center From Appearing In Vista

Each time you log on to Vista, the Welcome Center appears. It contains two sections: Getting Started With Windows and Offers from Microsoft. Under each section you will find various options.
If you are just starting out with Vista or have just installed it, you may find the options in the Welcome Center useful. For example, it contains a What’s new in Vista link so you can easily learn about the newest features. Conversely, you can prevent the Welcome Center from appearing at startup if you rarely use the options available.
Within the Welcome Center, click the box beside the Run at startup option to remove the check mark. If you ever need access to the Welcome Center, it can be found on the Start Menu and within the Control Panel.

Has anyone had an issue where the Wecome Center continues to appear after every reboot regardless of whether or not you have unchecked “Run at startup”? I have this issue and I can’t find a solution or anyone else with the same problem.

I have this problem with my mothers new HP. I was able to turn the welcome center off in my Admin account by unchecking “Run at Startup”. However in her user account it keeps popping up. Found this “registry hack”, but haven’t tried it. The URL is:http://www.tweakvista.com/article38968.aspx. Will be trying this tomorrow. Hope it works.
