No sooner than I penned a piece on where to buy toilet paper online, I remembered that I had an online gift certificate languishing in a Thunderbird folder. Okay, so I admit to having never made that all-important online purchase, prior to writing the article. Call me a creature of habit, but I like to get my research done - both offline and online - before I make an important purchase.

Perhaps consequently, we came frighteningly close to running out of toilet paper over the weekend at Ranchero Indebto, once again.

This is a recurring theme around these parts. You may have heard of the famous just-in-time method of factory production. For better or for worse, we’ve subscribed to the just-in-time method of toilet paper inventory management.

A 12-pack of Sofpac by Marcal was dutifully fetched, just in time.

Alas, the reviews were underwhelming. I’m not at the liberty to reprint the exact words used, but thought was given to using a couple of sheets of 200-grit in lieu of the aforementioned.

Needless to say, I’ve finally put that gift certificate to good use.
