The Big O? Whatever Could That Mean?

Having used the service myself several times over the past few years with great satisfaction, I have to say that Overstock.com has some amazing deals running this holiday season. If you’re able to knock some of your shopping out this weekend, you might want to take advantage of this one:

Save 12% off your ENTIRE ORDER plus $1 shipping – Expires Monday 12/04/06 at 11:59 AM MST.

If Monday’s a little too soon (keeping in mind, of course, that Christmas is now less than a month away), you can buy a little more time as long as you’re a new Overstock.com customer and still shave that 12% off your whole order as long as you do it before the end of the year (December 31st, in case you’re calendar-challenged)!

Okay. So what if, like me, you’re not a new Overstock.com customer? Well, fine. The online retailer still loves us, though it’ll only give us 10% off through December 31st. I guess Overstock.com isn’t afraid to ask, “Hey, what’s an extra 2% among friends?” I’ve asked the same when buying milk for my cherished Golden Grahams, but sometimes it makes a bigger difference than you’d think!

If you’ve got more specific purchases in mind, here are a few more coupons that may (or may not – make sure you test your grand total options before finalizing any purchases) work out more in your favor:

Save $35 off an order of $400 or more – Expires 12/31/06 at 11:59 PM MST (Thanks to Google and even my rudimentary educational background (raised by wolves), I can easily compute that 12% of $400 is $48.00, and 10% is, well, $40.00, so any of the above offers are better! Forget I mentioned it. We’re trying our best to look out for you here at The ‘Gnome!

Because the editor (hello, there!) is trying to get this stuff out to you before deadline, you’re on your own with researching the following deals! Good luck!

Save an EXTRA $60 on a Scratch and Dent IBM T30 1.6GHz Pentium 4 Laptop.

Save an EXTRA $75 on Dell Latitude C640 2.0GHz PIV w/DVD/CDRW Laptop now only $574.99!

Save an EXTRA 15% off Kensington Noise Canceling Headphones.

Save an EXTRA 13% off a Palm Z22 PDA Handheld Open Box.

Our resident "Bob" (pictured here through the lens of photographer Jason DeFillippo) is in love with a woman who talks to animals. He has a fondness for belting out songs about seafaring and whiskey (arguably inappropriate in most social situations). He's arm-wrestled robots and won. He was born in a lighthouse on the storm-tossed shores of an island that has since been washed away and forgotten, so he's technically a citizen of nowhere. He's never killed in anger. He once underwent therapy for having an alien in his face, but he assures us that he's now feeling "much better." Fogarty also claims that he was once marooned along a tiny archipelago and survived for months using only his wits and a machete, but we find that a little hard to believe.

Not surprising, John, as this was posted November 30th, 2006!
