Change The Home Page In Internet Explorer v7.0

Each time you open Internet Explorer, an HTML page is displayed. This is referred to as the Home Page. By configuring the home page settings, you can specify which HTML page you want displayed when you open Internet Explorer.

To change the Home Page, open Internet Explorer, click the down arrow beside Tools and click Internet Options. You have three options on the General tab when configuring the home page. By selecting the Use current button, the web page that is currently open in your browser will become the home page. Selecting the Use default button, the home page will be set to that which was configured when Internet Explorer was first installed. The Use blank button means the home page displayed will be a blank HTML page.
You can return your home page at any time in Internet Explorer by clicking the icon on the tool bar that resembles a house. Alternatively, you can return to this page by pressing the ALT + Home keystrokes. And an even simpler way yet to get back home is to type two periods in the address bar and press Enter.

Of course, the fastest way to change the home page in IE 7 (and previous versions) is to drag and drop the URL of the page you’d like to set as your home page from the address bar to the house icon.

The problem I am having is….I have set my required homepage, but instead of my homepage showing up, this is instead replaced with http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx a now rather annoying website. I tried blocking this site, it’s showing up as a restricted site but it’s STILL my homepage. Anyone know how to get it to disappear?

i agree with Kayleigh nomatter what i do this website: http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx continues to open as my home page and this sucks

The http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx will always come up as your first page until you go through the steps there. Set your language and default search provider.

I’m havinga hard time getting rid of the page that pops up since I upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, the runonce.com page still comes up with the “Customize Settings” and it isn’t working for me. I can only see page #1 and when I click my options it gives me and then on Save Settings, it changes to Applying Settings but seems to be stuck there. Any ideas?

To change ur home page in IE7. it is very easy, all u have to do is to follow some simple steps and you u find it is done.

    close the window now.
open http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx and let the customise settings come. in that page u wld find an option “choose ur settings” at the bottom of the page. click without any hesitation. a window will appear. click ur default search engine which suits better for u. after the completion last and final step will arise where u can find a window saying diffent option from mricrosoft. click – GO TO UR HOME PAGE. save ur settings and close the browser.
the job is done. next time u open ur browser u will find ur home page smiling on ur screen as u have wanted.
