Installing Optional Networking Components In Vista

Posted by on Nov 29, 2006 | 26 Comments

When you install an operating system such as Windows Vista, some networking components you require may not be installed. If this is the case, it is relatively easy to add additional networking components.

Open the Programs option by clicking Start | Control Panel | Programs. Under Programs and Features, click Turn Windows features on or off. Place a check mark beside the components you want to install, such as Internet Information Services.

Once you’ve made the appropriate selections, Click OK to install the networking components. You can remove any optional network components using the same process only this time remove the check mark beside the components that are no longer required.

First game: Pokemon Red on my beloved Gameboy Colour

I got it on holiday in the US when I was a kid so it said “Color” as opposed to “Colour”

I spent the next 5 years mixing those up – damn Nintendo!

It was either Super Mario Brothers for the N64 or Age of Empires II for the PC. I’m not much of a gamer though

This might be embarrassing. Atari Adventure…the one with the pixelated dragons and secret keys and rooms. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. First arcade game (yeah, I know, what’s an arcade) was Tempest. Now going off to polish my Model-T and clean my dentures :)

Atari Adventure was great! I remember looking for the secret rooms, too! And Tempest was really good for getting the adrenaline going — with simple controls, to boot.
