POP Peeper

When you have more than one email account, managing them all can become a real pain. You either have to do your best to import them all into one place or you have to do the email checking dance and go from Web site to Web site to get things done. I needed a freeware program that would allow me to control all my email accounts at once central location. My solution was found in POP Peeper.

Want to know more? Here is what the people behind POP Peeper have to say about it:

POP Peeper is an email notifier that runs in your Windows task bar and alerts you when you have new email on your POP3, IMAP (with IDLE support), Hotmail\MSN\LiveMail, Yahoo!, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, RediffMail, Juno, and NetZero accounts. IMAP supports allows you to access AOL, AIM, Netscape and other services. Send mail directly from POP Peeper and use the address book to email your frequently used contacts.

Some of the primary features include: HTML email support, address book, password protection, and the ability to send emails directly from POP Peeper. Several options are available that will decrease or eliminate the risks of reading your email (viruses, javascript, Web bugs, etc). POP Peeper can be run from a portable device and can be password protected.

When it comes to freeware applications for email, your choices are few and far between. POP Peeper, though, makes an excellent tool when it comes to keeping all of your email accounts in check.

I’m a Yahooligan, so I get notifications already thanks to YIM. Been using it for several years and the little window pops up with the subject line whenever a new email hits the in box. If you don’t use YIM like me, I can’t tell you how valuable this kind of notification is, at least from my perspective!!
