Prompt For File Properties When Saving A Presentation (PowerPoint 2002)

Each presentation you create has a set of properties. Filling in the properties when you save your presentation is useful when it comes time to performing searches. You can later search based on these file properties.

One of the ways that you can remind yourself to fill in the properties is to have Microsoft PowerPoint prompt you to each time you save a new presentation. The steps below describe how to configure Word to do this.

  • From the Tools menu, click Options.
  • Click the Save tab.
  • Place a check beside the Prompt for file properties option.
  • Click OK to save your changes.

Now the file properties will open when you save a presentation for the first time.
