Capture Master v1.0

When you do a lot of work and writing on the Web, having a good screen capture tool is a must have. The built in screen capture tool in Windows doesn’t cut it when you see all the other alternatives out there. So which one is the best of the best? Capture Master is at the top of the list.

Capture Master is a simple but powerful screen capture device. It consist of two parts; one main form and one red border. Everything within the red border will be captured. To move the border push and hold CTRL and drag on the red area of the border. To resize it use the right side, the bottom or the bottom right corner of the border.

Use the “Simple Capturing” page for easy capturing. Look in “Advanced Capturing” for more features. The “Minimize This” button minimizes only the main form, not the red border. This program is super small and could not be easier to use.

If you have been searching for a nice replacement for the default screen capture tool in Windows, this one is the best of the best. It gives you plenty of options to play around with and has a lot of power for such a small application.

I have been using hoverSnap and find it rather useful, no installation needed.

HoverSnap is a a free handy snapshot tool with jpg, png, bmp and gif support.HoverSnap can take snapshots of the full screen, active window or a selected area. It can even capture layered windows (alphablended ones under 2K / XP). You can even FTP upload your screenshots !

You can set up the capture folder / filename and format.
You can reduce the capture size.
Auto-generate filename option will add the time stamp (date/time) to your filename in order to be able to take several captures without having to change the filename.
Optional sound when capture is done.
HoverSnap is FREE for personal use only !

    hello chris.
the program captures a selection, then you can copy the selection to the clipboard. then you can paste the image within other programs like Word or image editors.

    greetings

I tried Capture Master — I do a lot of screen captures — but it didn’t pass the test for me – it’s a bit too clunky. I’ve been using Wisdom-SoftScreen Hunter 4.0 Free, I would recommend it.

    It’s a 380K download from http://www.wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter.htm
It will capture any part of your desktop, a window or full screen or any area defined by your mouse pointer.

It you set it to, it will automatically save captures in BMP, JPEG and GIF format.

Or you can set a Hot-Key. When you hit the Hot-Key, the curser changes to a crosshatch, and you ‘box’ what you want to capture, which goes to the clipboard. Go to any program you can paste graphics into, and you have your screen shot.
