What Version Of Vista Am I Using?

If for whatever reason you are unsure of what version of Vista you are currently using, you can easily find out. Simply open the Run command, type in winver.exe and click OK. The About Windows dialog box will appear displaying the version of Vista that is installed along with whom it is registered to and the amount of available physical memory.

You can also find information about your operating system through the System window. You can open the System window using the steps below:

  1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
  2. Click the System and Maintenance option.
  3. Click the System option.

The System window will appear and provide you with some basic information about the operating system installed.

I have a small backup Dell computer that uses Windows ME that is no longer supported by Micrososft.
How can I get the recent (April 11th) patches that keep hackers out of Direct Animation Active X control.
Help please. Thank you

Thanks for the tip - Vista has moved around a few features.
