Create A New Appointment In Outlook 2002

  • No Related Post

If you are going to be busy or out of the office for a period of time, you should let others know so they do not schedule any meeting with you during this time. You don’t have to send out an email to everyone but rather you can configure your calendar to show you as being away or busy during this time. You can do this by creating a new appointment as described below.

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click Calendar listed under Outlook Today.
  3. From the Actions menu, click the New Appointment option.
  4. Use the down arrows beside Start time and End time to specify the day and time that you will be unavailable.
  5. Optionally type in a Subject and Location.
  6. Use the down arrow beside the Show time as option to set the status. You can select one of the following options: Busy, Free, Tentative or Out of Office.
  7. Click Save and Close.

The appointment will appear in your calendar and to others attempting to schedule a meeting with you.
