AudioShell v1.2

  • No Related Post

Do you not wish that you had a better audio experience in Windows? Sure, by default Windows gives you a few tags and boxes to edit per audio file. I have always wanted to put a little more information there though. Well, I searched for a way to do it, and I finally found it just the other day.

The name of this solution is AudioShell.

AudioShell is a freeware MS Windows Explorer shell extension plugin which allows you to view and edit music file tags directly in Windows Explorer. AudioShell support all files and tags standards supported by Tag&Rename.

AudioShell adds tag editor and viewer tabs to the music files properties menu (you can edit tags file by file or by groups), detailed music files hints with tag and file information, and additional columns in the Explorer files list. Full Unicode support. Great tool for mp3 players owners! You can fast and easy fix files tags in Explorer before uploading its to your iPod/Creative or any other mp3 player.

This neat little tool does a lot. It might even be the coolest tag editor ever created. Need a list of all the supported tag and file formats? Go check out the official AudioShell Web site.

This is a handy freeware download that should have been built into Windows by default. Pick it up, and let me know what you think.

I installed Audio Shell v1.2.
It worked OK. When I went to shut down my computer I got the Windows Explorer will not close message. It happened 3X in a row. I uninstalled it & my computer works OK now. I have Windows XP Home in a E-Machine Model T-6212.
